CBCT and Root Canal Treatment

CBCT is becoming a pivotal tool in the practice of endodontics as it increases detection rates of root canal anatomy and periradicular pathology. CBCT also helps avoid unnecessary investigative treatment by allowing for three-dimensional evaluation of internal and external resorption. In addition, post-operative healing can be monitored more accurately with CBCT due to its superior resolution compared to conventional radiology.
